                                           ScoreMoreTestPrep–The Custom Test Prep Educators,
setting the GOLD standard in standardized test prep.

Martha E. Gagnon, Ph.D.

Twenty-five years ago, Martha Gagnon, Ph.D. and Rebecca Mason, M.A. began a collaboration to evelop a unique test prep program that has assisted thousands of families through the process of improving scores in order to enhance their college admission and scholarship opportunities. Dr. Gagnon and Ms. Mason have updated their curriculum as the test has changed several times. They also expanded their test prep courses to include all 3 major college admission exams: the SAT, PSAT and the ACT…..all in one course. Students will not need to take multiple test prep courses. Their program has consistently received rave reviews from parents, students and school counselors and principals as hundreds of students continue to refer new students to them. (See TESTIMONIALS page above.) You are invited to connect with Rebecca Mason, Program Director, to see how she and her team might help your student.

Rebecca J. Mason, M.A

ANNOUNCING:  At this time, we have 3 options available.

1. Private tutoring (in-person or virtual)

2. In-person Semi-private tutorial (upcoming schedule below- register now)

3. Large GROUP ZOOM (some may be held in schools; others may be via ZOOM)

You may have heard that some colleges have announced they will be “test optional”.   That means students won’t necessarily be required to submit test scores unless they want to submit them.  This may sound great at first, but many students are still submitting scores in order to give themselves an extra edge for acceptance.  Most academic scholarships are still being awarded based on test scores along with grades and other factors.

BETTER SCORES MEAN MORE COLLEGE CHOICES

                                                        AND POSSIBLY SCHOLARSHIPS!

SENIORS:  take advantage of this opportunity to improve your scores for scholarships pending

JUNIORS: get started with your first SAT or ACT.  This will give you more time to work on areas that need improvement in time for you to take the fall exams of your senior year, if needed.

SOPHOMORES: now is the time to prep for your PSAT, SAT and ACT in order to get your BEST possible scores–with the LEAST amount of stress!

The National test dates:   The SAT is administered several times, starting in August.   It will also be administered in October, November and December, March, May and June.    The 2021-2022 schedule for the ACT is  Sept. 11,  Oct. 23,  Dec. 11,  2021;   Feb. 2,  April 2,  June 11, July 16,  2022.   Check with your school or another school near-by  to see if it will be hosting these tests on these or alternate dates.

Option 1: Private tutoring IN PERSON (OR VIRTUAL, YOUR PREFERENCE.) This option is perfect for students who already have a foundation of our testing strategies, but who need test refinement in a few specific areas.  Busy students who participate in sports or have a heavy commitment load are also candidates for private tutoring,  because scheduling is flexible. We give students our personal Power Point presentation, so they can review each lesson to make sure their notes are comprehensive. Limited schedule: please schedule now.

Option 2: Semi-Private Tutorials–  IN PERSON (summer 2022 tutorials will be held in Cooksville, convenient to Route 97 and I-70) .   Each 18- hour semi private tutorial is limited to 10 students or fewer and comprehensively prepares participants for the PSAT, SAT + ACT! The small class size allows for lots interactive learning and maximum student participation. Students will be assigned two entire tests as follow-up homework that will students to APPLY their newly acquired testing strategies. Students receive our personal Power Point presentation, so they can review each lesson to make sure their notes are comprehensive.  Dates for 3 summer 2022 IN PERSON tutorials:  Select the Section most convenient for your summer schedule:    Section 1: July 18-22 (9 am- noon) ;   Section 2: August 1-5  (9 am- noon); and Section 3 :  (August 8-12) 9 am -noon.  Schedule conflict?  It is usually easy to make up a missed class if you arrange this well in advance.  For information, inquiries about space availability or registration, contact Rebecca Mason directly at 443-813-1301 (text or call).

Option 3: Larger Group ZOOM Courses: We expect to offer several in 2022.  Please check periodically  for dates and school locations. Class size varies.   Some classes may be in person in area schools, while others will be via Zoom.  Our larger sessions include 12 hours of live, direct instruction and cover all the strategies necessary for the PSAT, SAT + ACT like our semi-private tutorial, but the sessions are lecture- style.  They do not have the same amount of applied follow-up homework or customization. For zoom classes,  we record each zoom session, so students have access to each session as many times as they wish for 30 days.  We also send each student our personal Power Point presentation so they can review each lesson to make sure their notes are comprehensive.  Zoom classes offer lots of flexibility.  Participants may choose to interact live during each session, or watch the recorded sessions at their convenience without any gaps in the course content.  Of course, we recommend interacting live during the sessions.  It’s a high energy class with A LOT of participation for those who want to get the most out of the experience.  Instructors remain available after class to answer additional individual questions.  They also are available to students at other times.

Tentative 2022  Dates: Next GROUP ZOOM course:  Our next GROUP ZOOM course will take place on the following 6 dates:

February 28, March 2,  March 4, March 7, March 9 and March 11:  Time:  5:00-7:00 pm (attend all…..but if you miss a class, no problem!  We record each class and make each available to all students to access for 30 days.  Please see full description above for our group ZOOM coruse.

Please check soon for upcoming tutorial.  All meet 5:00-7:00 pm  IN PERSON in Cooksville, MD  Howard County, just off Route 97 and I-70, convenient to Howard, Carroll, Frederick and Montgomery County.
